...lights the whole sky.

Even after all this time the sun never says to the eath, "you owe me."
Look what happens with a love like that, it lights the whole sky.

I love this quote, and I have loved this image of it for years now.  The story behind the image is a litle unknown, but I think it comes from the side of a building somehwere, sort of like positive graffiti.  I feel sorry that I don't know more about the creator of the mural or the photographer because I'd love to give credit where credit is due.

This blank wall in my room was begging for something big.  I spent most of last semester pondering what I would put up.  I finally decided to use to make a giant image of the quote.  It's very simple: upload image, it breaks it into blocks (choose how big you want it) and then print, trim edges, tape together (one row at a time) and then wah-la!

I love it for many reasons, but it ties in with the rest of my room, matches my new comforter, and is just bright- and dark!- enough to balance this wall.

And see how my bed is made?  New Years Resolution.
I feel awkward when people see my bed all ragged and not made.  I'm trying my best to make it every day, but afternoon naps are a problem in my life.

Also you can see my IKEA lamp here to the right.  It's suspending from the ceiling with eye hooks I screwed into the tiles.
