My weekend in pictures 1/20/2011-1/22/2011

This was SUCH a great weekend!  Even though I have 2 huge exams coming up this week (Math on Monday, Spanish on Tuesday) I still was able to sneak in some fun adventures along the way.  On Friday I worked and then watched a movie with a friend.  Saturday was a day full of studying and then a night at home making Chili Soup.  Sunday was full of fun and friends and good food as well!  Here are some pictures from my weekend!

I think it's sad to see old photographs like these for sale at antiques shows.  This person is important to someone, somewhere.  I think it's devastating.

My current background.

This cabinet was absolutely filled with tiny sewing notions and other perfectly organized little tidbits.

This was my find!  I'll be turning this blue neon O into a side table within the next few weeks.  I'll be sure to keep you posted!

My weekend in pictures 1/13/2011-11/16/2011

Aren't we a good looking group?  I mean, come on now... we look stunning here.  I really love this picture.  We had lunch at the Lake White club for Tristen's birthday and after lunch I (somehow) managed to get everyone to pose for this picture.  The camera is strategically balance on a parking lot post with my scarf folded ontop of that so I could get the right angle.  My family are getting good at the "this is going to take 5 pictures in a row" setting.
It was my big Bub's birthday.
I've got my scarf back!  Isn't this one great?
I took this one.  I got more of the lake in the background, but all of the others turned out really well too!

My weekend in pictures 1/6/2011-11/8/2011

What a great weekend!  The first full weekend of the New Year!  I spent this weekend with some really great people and went to a few great places.  I won't hold back any more...
You may or may not know that I work in an art gallery on campus at OSU.  Well, this is one of the pieces from our latest exhibition.  It's a lower body bust.  Made from human hair.  I won't say anything else about it for fear of it getting back to my boss, but I wanted to share...

This piece is of plaster laid out in rectangles on the floor.  There is 1 blue square.  Looking for hidden meaning?  Deep profoundness?  It doesn't exist.  It is what it is.  And someone walked through it on accident.
 Eeee.  IKEA!
I was finally able to go to IKEA to get a new bed.  SO exciting.  I was overwhelmed the whole entire time.  Luckily I wore good comfortable shoes.  It was just a great trip.  The following are a few shots I took for inspiration.
Frames and lights.  Total cost?  $100.
BRIGHT.  $40.00 each.  A great way to define a space.
So many picture frames.  Do you like it?  I told Mom that everything else would have to be plain and simple for this to work in the real world.
 Classy table setting.
Mom loved this.  I love this.  So many drawers!
I have this chair (and a matching stool!) in a light wood with a black cushion.  Technically it's still packed away in the box... I had priorities people.  Bed first!
 I love 4-H license plates.
In the moment before she took this picture I had crawled through (head first) the tiny opening where my face is.  I don't know why I did, but I needed to get to the other side and I fit perfectly.
Distraction: I love butter when it comes to room temperature.  Food porn.  Sadly the cupcakes I made with this butter didn't turn out.  (More later...)
I got this for Christmas (well kind of, I picked it out, Mom paid, but then forgot to wrap it for myself) and it's made to hold coffee cups.  It's perfect for my bracelets.
My inflatable OSU chair my lovely Auntie Dar got me for Christmas!
I went on a search Sunday for Lemon Berry.  I'm truly addicted.  I went to 2 different stores and managed to find 3 boxes.  This may last me a week.  Also the baby bottle brush works PERFECTLY for washing Justin (my water bottle does have a name.)
Something really horrible happened with these cupcakes.  I don't even know.
IKEA find!  I love this, and it's a great way to display pictures.  I bought 2 of them and have 1 by my desk for to-do lists and such.  Do you see yourself on my little string of pictures?

Big boy bed!
This is a great way I found to keep your phone charger cord from falling to the ground every day.  Simple black binder clips on your night stand.  (Mine is an empty wine crate.  Haha.)

Here's part of the one by my desk area.  I love that I can get stuff up and off of the desk.
Teddy is almost finished with the 2nd book in the Hunger Games trilogy.  He loves his Kindle and his new bed!  Woo.  (:

How was your weekend?  I hope it was a smashing good time!
Best,
Logan

My new years in pictures!

This poor drunk guy passed out a few minutes after midnight on NYE.  Please notice that he was mid-text and his White Castle food is still in the bag.

 Cutest dog ever.

My Christmas in pictures!

I feel better about this now.  No captions, but you can see how good of a holiday I had with the people I love.
